Macará week 7

Hey what's up everybody? This week's lowkey been a harder one, so I didn't have the ganas to write a big email this week. We've just been working really crazy hard to get people to church, and then we had the least amount of people there since the first week, so it's just been a really rough week. But I still have one unspiritual thought and my spiritual one.

Unspiritual thought:

Apparently, there's this weird tradition here where, near New Year's or at some point this cambio, some of the men here get all dressed up in drag, put balloons in weird places, and say some interesting things... a member told us, and we were gaffed, actually, just a really random custom.

Spiritual thought: We did have a cool miracle this week. We had a couple citas fall through, and I was just really craving an empanada. So I told my boy Acosta we should go and grab one rq for central. So we went up there, and before we got to the empanada place, this lady stopped us and told us that her mom is part of our church and had been looking for us and where we meet. So we got the empanadas to go and went and talked to her mom, and so we found another member here in macará, and it's really just a cool experience to help someone have the sacrament again, because who knows the last time she had had it. But she came to church with her granddaughter and her granddaughter's friends. So if you have a spiritual impresión to eat an empanada, act on it.
