Feliz 4 de Julio

Happy fourth of July!!! It is weird being in another country today but I am still reppin the Red, White, and Blue. I am wearing my belt buckle too. I just wanted to say thanks to all the people that have served this country in this email list and every veteran as well. I am proud to be an American and I hope you guys party it up today.

This week has been a pretty good week. It is always busy but it is about the same thing everyday so not a whole lot to say in this email and in my journal haha. Everyday I have Spanish and then some gym time and then PMG with Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner being the same time everyday. Spanish is always good. I feel more and more confident after every class. I actually had the oppurtunity to help an Elder from Argentina today. As I was walking into the commodore a lady stopped me and asked me to help him and he did not speak a lick of English. It was nice to test my spanish and talk to him though. He said it was pretty good spanish so that made me feel good. Preach My Gospel is good too. I feel more and more comfortable teaching everyday. We have had the oppurtunity to do HOA's or Helping Others Assignment. We get to teach people on zoom about whatever for 10 minute. It has gone pretty good. Me and Elder Spencer kind of planned our last lesson 30 seconds before and that was a little rough. So I am gonna try to stick to what I learned in scouts and be prepared haha. Thats kind of all about teaching and Spanish.

Sunday was a really good day. For it being a day of rest, its the opposite. Sunday is pretty busy haha. It was really spiritual though. We had our sacrament meeting just as a branch. I was able to bless the bread in spanish and it was a really interesting experience. I just took it nice and slow. Then I had to worry about speaking in the meeting. I didn't have to, but you always have to be ready. One of the presidency just goes up to the pulpit and choose 3 or 4 missionaries and they have to speak. So everyone has to prepare a talk. It helps us so we have 4 to 5 talks when we get out to the field. That will be good to have. After church we had something called Iré y Haré and that was the highlight of my day for sure. As a district we all meet in a room and had personal study on a certain subject for an hour and then have a conversation about it. This week it was about the Atonement of Jesus Christ. We had a really good conversation and quite a bit of tears were shed. I didn't cry personally but I shared about how God's love for us is unfathomable. We cannot process it with our human minds. I felt like we got closer from the convo so that was good. I really love my district. After we had a district meeting again just about things we need to figure out and kind of talk about how to process stress. That was really good to hear beause I know that someone is struggling. I had told the district that we are praying for them and we have every night. After that we had a devotional by Elder Uchtdorf. Unfortunately it was only a video. It was still amazing though. It was about how God loves effort and the mission is what you make it. It's a mindset. A lot of what was said reminded me of what I learned from mental sessions in baseball. It was an awesome devotional. Then we had a district review meeting again and reviewed what we learned. It was a good day.

I am really liking it here. I have made some good friends here. In my district and in my house. The districts in our casa are really cool. A lot of cool guys. One of the guys in the casa is a 6'6 polyenesian that is commited to play D-end at BYU. He is a beast haha. He was suprised I didn't play and he wants me to apply to BYU and try to walk on😂 There is another guy that played baseball and it has been fun talking to him too He is from Nothern Utah. I forgot where he played in High School. He is not in my house, but Tate is here and it has been good to see him. While I love the people, there has been times I have been missing family and other people but mostly been good. I read a note by Lacy and that got me choked up. That was probably the lowest this week so I am doing pretty good because there is definetely lower points to come. I love lacy though and am glad she wrote that for me. I am going to have to read the other letters one by one because two might be too much for me haha.

Weather has been really rainy so it has been good for cooling me off but it was sunny the other day and that was hard because AC doesnt exist so it is hard to cool off.

That's all folks
