Zone Conference👨‍💼

Que lo que y'all?! It's been a pretty good week. Starting to get adjusted and the weeks are starting to go. Everyday had something different too which helps. Let's get into it:

- Tuesday I had a family friend that works down here take us to Rudy's. It was amazing. It was fun to talk and see a familiar face.

- I also had an exchange with E. Skeehan. It was a pretty good one. Skeehan is a pretty seasoned missionary. His days are limited. It was good to see how he does some stuff and learn. He's a funny dude too. Kinda interesting, but it was a good time.

- Thursday we had Zone Conference and I got to see some of my peeps from my CCM days so it was good. The message was really good too. A big focus on having the spirit which is really important because it's the teacher.

- Elder Lara also came out with us after conference. He's a service missionary, but likes to go out with us once or twice a week. Really funny guy. Just this little mexican honestly. It's funny because me and my comp are huge and then there he is. We mess around with him which is funny but we can definitely get a little over board. I try to keep it good. He's a good guy. He takes it good.

- That next day I had an exchange with my old DL, E. Gearhart. That was a fun day and we found a ton of people. He has a lot of energy which is fun to be around

- Saturday we basically worked off of only a few hours of sleep because of dumb late night Uno, but it was good. We just visited friends and got them locked in for church.

- Sunday was a fun one. We had our Barbeque and also we had a few friends come to church which was hype.

Spiritual Thought:

I was reading in Matthew 9:

10 ¶ And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.

11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?

12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance

I just really like this because the amount of people that say they aren't worthy enough for church or baptism here is a ton. I just wish people could understand that it is the reason we need Jesus and church. There's this video on Gospel Library that compares church to a mechanic shop. Throughout the week we get banged up (sin) and every Sunday we have the opportunity to take the sacrament and get a tune up. Even those times we read the scriptures give us little tune ups because the more we perfect ourselves, the more we become like Jesus. So what I'm saying is don't ever think you aren't worthy enough to attend church or get closer to God. He will always accept you and that is why his Gospel is on this earth; To become better.

Have a good week yall! Let me know what yall up to. It'd be great to hear from ya.
