Whats up eveyone up all ofnyou guys are doing awesome thos week was a good one, lets get into it!!⬇️
Spiritual thought- Spiritual thought this week is on receiving promotings. This week i had a few experiences of having a prompting and listening to it, and the interactions turned out awesome. And all though most of these incounters will probably not meet with the missionarys again and or not answer our calls to return. I do know that for some reason, some why heavenly father wanted me to follow that promting. Sometimes i wonder out here why we receive promtings to do something or talk with sombody when nothing comes out of it. But there is one thing i do know. And that is its not our timing but out heavenly fathers. Ive had Countless interactions with people when we talk to them say they rember the missionaries from the simple stuff the simple kind acts "holding doors" "sharing there testimony" and "smiling at them" and of course the gringos in a white shirt and tie in the summer😭 but although these small things may at moments seem insignificant over time these small things become GIANT things in peoples lives. I want to invite you guys to listen to promptings your receive, no matter how insignificant they seem, Because for some reason some why, that promting your receiving WILL have an effect!! And this affect could change not only a persons life but also your own!
Food of the week "yopos chicken" baiscally a raisen kaynes chicken, but the drinks were so expensive, 6 soles a bottle...(2$)
P day was chill we went to this New chicken place close by and it was so good. Closest thing to like real fried chicken ive had in a minute, and the restaurant had english music playing to so that was a plus. And after we went back to the chapel and made some brownies that some how turned out ok for just eye bawling ingredients and not using any measurements😂 #thankstocheifnoone
Today I had intercambios with Elder gram. Super good time. We set some high goals for the day and worked really hard but also had some fun to. And theres this little "phenomenon" called the Nino, that is like a giant rainstorm i guess. So it basically rained like all day here which was soooo nice. Also We had a cool little experiance to, we were up in the more poor spot of the zone and we had an impression to knock a certain house. So we did and im glad we did. Turn out the little boy that lives there had just found out he has got cancer. Hes about 6-8 years old. So we shared a little message and offered a prayer for the family and for him. We hope we can try to get over there and share some messages with them and maybe offer a blessing for the boy. Keep this family in your prayers please!
We also had english class tonight!!!! It was pretty fun, me and my MTC comp Elder langford somehow ended up in the same zone so we taught it together which was pretty fun. And of course had to hit the post english class Oxxo run for a Inca cola and some Empanadas!!
Today the hermanas in our word called and said there was a lady in the ward who needed a blessing, so we showed up to the families house and it was so hectic in there geez. And when we asked who was receiving the blessing she pointed to her and then to the rest of her fam. So we ended up giving 6 blessings. Which is fine but we totally missed a lesson cause we thought we only had one😭
Today we had 2 lessons planed with a few references we had received and they went like so good. One of the guys was just one of the elected and is just ready to be taught and wants to keep learning. We had a member participate in the lesson to and man, member lessons with investigators is sooo nice and so helpfull. So reach out to the missionaries in your ward and see if they would like ya to acompany them in a lesson!!
Celindas baptized- So we were supposed to have her baptism on thursday but bad communication on the members side led to no bishopric members able to make it to the baptism soo we changed it to sunday🥲😂!! But today went awesome the baptism went very smooth #firsttimeisacharm. But we did have to change the time 3 times because the bishopric kept on selling the bag. But they made up for it by making sure we had a bunch of members there to support Celinda and her awesome day!!
This week was pretty good. Always a good week when you have a friend get baptized!!! Spanish is coming along good, little by little but for the most part i can say what i need to but the harder part is understanding it all. Also they just announced in my mission we can go to the temple every transfer so thats pretty cool to and we can go with out whole district to! But yea its going good here in peru. Hope all is going good back at home, love and miss ya all!! Send me a email, love to hear from ya!!
