Patience with prayer
Good morning, another week in the books!! I cannot explain how fast the weeks have flown by here in Chile. Life in Chile still isn’t perfect but I know that for me, I am in the perfect place at the perfect time.
This week some of my highlights included:
It's a new year!! Happy 2026 🥳🤩!
I'll be in Chile for this one 🫡🇨🇱
We went to the mountain to find new people to teach and a mapucha woman stopped us and prayed and invoked her blessings upon us..
🤗 more blessings!!
Also on the mountain there were so many dangerous dogs again so I decided to try out my electric dog whistle. 🐕🐕💨🔦🧍♂️- Thanks mom, I don't know how but It worked! 😁👍
I was able to attend sacrament meeting with my new ward! I was also able to present myself and share my testimony! 🕍
My companion and I had the opportunity to give many house blessings this week. 3 in 1 day 😄🫡
We visited the foot massage guy again so we got massages and he cooked us chicken and rice for lunch. 👣🙂.. 🍗🍚
This casa is the first with shower brain freezes :) 🧊🧠.. 🤯
My companion loves pasta and chicken patties, so that's what we eat for dinner 🍝🧆
Oo my companion also loves making Brownies and giving them to everyone.. He’s still learning how to cook and make things without important ingredients 😅. Poor neighbors 🫣😬
Today I'm going to get a haircut, my companion said he knows a guy who cuts hair for super cheap. I really don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing 🤔 🤦
This week for my spiritual thought I wanted to share a quote from President Holland's October 2020 General Conference talk which says,
“There will be times in our lives when even our best spiritual effort and earnest, pleading prayers do not yield the victories for which we have yearned… So while we work and wait together for the answers to some of our prayers, I offer you my apostolic promise that they are heard and they are answered, though perhaps not at the time or in the way we wanted. But they are always answered at the time and in the way an omniscient and eternally compassionate parent should answer them.”
Our Heavenly Father hears us when we say, “When will these burdens be lifted”
The answer is by and by, sooner or later. Whether that be a short time or a long one most times we do not know. But by the Grace of God, blessings will come to those who hold faithful to the gospel of Jesus Christ. This we know as fact. For that matter was settled in a private garden and on a public hill in the city of Jerusalem many years ago.
If you are searching for answers from God that still seem unanswered, I would invite you to have patience. Step back and look at life in an eternal view. Remember that God is good.
“For he is the same yesterday, today, and forever; and the way is prepared for all men from the foundation of the world.”
