The Dog Gives The Cat Milk??
What's up everyone?!? I hope you're all surviving! I had an amazing week filled to the brim with things to do, people to talk to and Of course more interesting stuff going on. So let's get to it <3
Bullet Points
# A week filled with JAS (Young Single Adults). All of our friends are a part of JAS so we spend a lot of time doing different activities and parties so our friends feel comfortable. I am so excited to be able to enjoy these activities without having to leave early haha!
# Celebración time come on!! Hermana Robalino and I spent almost the whole week celebrating our cumplemes’. It was so fun and we had good desserts. Oreo frappes and picarones!
# I have a new favorite quote that I use all the time. “thats a problem for tomorrow" and when we actually have to deal with the problem we say “this is a problem for today"
# Well we had a lot of stuff go down with our friend Saul. He had an interview with a member of the mission Presidency and everything was good! But, now he is scared to be baptized. Everyone please pray for him to receive his answer about baptism.
# Antonio asked if I could baptise him :) It made me happy to know I had an impact on someone but it's better if someone who has the authority baptizes!
# Antonio was baptised!! His baptism was full of opposition!! We tried two different pants that didn't work so we called the Elders… They always save the day!!
# A few people asked where my companion is from :) she is from the Jungle in the part called Pucallpa. It's really cool to hear her talk about it!!
# My comp is the best and bought me new highlighters, drew me a picture, wrote me a card and gave me a massage!!
# I crocheted Hermana Robalino a whale and she LOVES him :) she named him Blackblue because those are the colors haha!
# Hermana Robalino also did my nails! She is so talented!!
# I have been inviting all our friends to a party at my house and it's funny to see their reactions when I tell them they should visit me in the United States. Antonio said welp, I better start walking now then… haha!!
# we visited a hermana who told us her dog gives her cat milk?? Yeah I'm confused too…
# We had a stake activity... Our obispo (Bishop) can DANCE!! <3
Foods
Tapioca de la selva: 6/10 it is like white pearls you put in boiling water then they turn clear. They don't have flavor but the texture is certainly interesting…
Spiritual thought
So my dad gave me this idea yesterday! I thought it would be a good analogy to share :) It all starts with a can of soda. No one likes an empty can of soda! You go for a drink and it's all gone!! Not only that but once it's empty we stomp on it so we can throw it out. However, what would happen if we tried to stomp on a full can of soda? That would really hurt! It would take a lot more pressure too! With an empty can of soda you can dent it and mold it the way you want but not so much with a full can of soda.
This can be related to our testimonies! We need to be full! When we are full it's a lot harder to dent when opposition and other trials arise. Plus we can take sips of our spiritual soda when we need a boost of energy and continue filling it back up every time we pray, read our scriptures, go to church, and repent :) I want to invite you all to keep doing the little things to keep your can full, So when someone comes to crush us we won't even be dented. Satan is strong, but you are stronger!!! Keep working hard and you will see the results :)
I love you all, sorry if my email is all over the place my pday is almost over… But if you have time I would love to hear from you <3
