It's good to be back! Email me because I miss yall.
Time here is so weird, it feels like it's going fast and the weeks are flying, but then I realize this is only my second p day in the mission field. I did hit one month this week, so woohoo I'm basically almost done! Jk its been so good though!
This week we pretty much just did lots of knocking and trying to find people to teach, but not a whole lot of luck. People get really mad at us for ignoring the no soliciting signs, but every single house has one so idk what they expect us to do. One guy yelled at us and said, "Did you see the no soliciting sign you walked right in front of it, so you can leave!" it just makes me sad that people can't be kind. Plus they have no idea what they're saying no to. Going out knocking all day is draining, especially when nobody wants you there, but then there's always one person who is really kind. It gives me a breath of fresh air, even if they're not interested it gives me some hope in the world that there's still those good people out there. It helps me remember that God is aware of us. I know He will lead us to the ones who are ready. We just have to keep giving all our effort to seek them.
The weather on the other hand has been insane. Last week it was snowing and so cold. At the beginning of this week it was raining, and the last few days have been sunny and beautiful. You would never know its the middle of Decemer in Montana right now. It scares me for what is to come though. I just know its about to get so bad. We also saw at least four rainbows so that's prettt cool.
On Wednesdays and Fridays we go play pickleball with non-members. It's bunch of old people who are really intense at pickleball. They all play in like some sort of league and do tournaments I guess. We have so much fun with them. I am not good at pickleball and sometimes they get a little mad when we don't play good, but they're usually nice about it. It's just funny because they can get really intense. Hopefully I'll be a pro before I leave though.
On Saturday we had our ward Christmas party. Have you ever heard of a ward dance?? Because I never had. This ward is so much fun, and theres some amazing people who work really hard to put things together. After the food and a few musical numbers we had a dance. Although it was a little awkward when slow songs came on🫠I had ptsd from high school lolll I love a good dance. Plus we got to listen to some normal music since we weren't the ones playing it.😉 but I seriously love this ward. They treat us like their own and it makes me feel so comfortable here.
Spiritual thought: My district has been focusing on hope recently. I know that God is a God of hope and he knows us personally. I've been thinking a lot about how Jesus Chirst was literally perfect, and he performed so many amazing miracles and healed thousands. Yet he cares enough about me to help me with the minor inconveniences in my life. He knows how to comfort me and help me feel close to him. We can have hope through Him and find joy because of Him.
Moroni 7:41 - "And what is it that ye shall hope for? Behold I say unto you that ye shall have hope through the atonement of Christ and the power of his resurrection, to be raised unto life eternal, and this because of your faith in him according to the promise."
Anyways that's about all for this week, nothing too crazy. I love you all! Have a great week!❣️
