"Sometimes you have to go through the 99 morons to find the 1 stud"

Holaaa! This email is worth the read... trust! Sooo much happened, but it was a good week!

Also the Google photos has some fire stuff this week 🔥 https://photos.app.goo.gl/UoWFGHnRxwjSNdbB9

Let's start with Tuesday. I'm not gonna lie I wasn't having the most motivation. We had no one to teach, and we kind of let discouragement get us a little bit. We decided to knock a street that we had driven past a few times. I couldn't feel my face because it was so cold, but we knew we needed to keep knocking. As we made our way down the other side of the street, 3 DOORS IN A ROW people were so kind and listened to what we had to say! We gave out two Book of Mormons, and the other one gave us her phone number. Not to mention this lady had lived in Mesquite for 12 years prior to moving here. You guys God is so aware of each of us. These people didn't seem entirely interested, but they were an answer to my prayers. I know that God knew I needed these positive interactions this day, and he knew that I needed to see someone that I could relate to.

New Years Eve was lit!! Jk it was exactly the same as every other day, but we had an early curfew🫠We tried a new finding method by putting flyers on over 100 cars! This was different and fun to break up the routine. Guess how many people texted us from this... ZERO but that's okay. I know it made at least a few people's day even if they didn't reach out. When we got home, we locked in on a 1,000 piece puzzle, drank martinellis, and were in bed by 10:30! You're jealous, I know😝

We have some more exciting news for Thursday! Plus it's 2026... say what?! It's my blackout year, meaning I will be a missionary for this entire year🥳🎉 Anyways we met a single mom, and her two kids. She wants us to teach her kids the lessons from the beginning!! This doesn't happen very often, so this was a miracle for sure! The mom wants them to have some understanding of religion. I am really excited to teach them about Jesus and help them see the joy he can bring to their lives!

That brings us to Friday. This was a slower day. We did have a lesson with Trish who I have mentioned before, and we are still really conflicted with what to do about her. She loves meeting with us, but she's not progressing. She just isn't willing to accept other beliefs than she already knows. Maybe her time will come later though.

Another eventful day on Saturday! We did another new thing which was totally out of my comfort zone. Public contacting is NOT for the weak. This was kind of a bust tbh. First of all, there was like nobody at the place we tried to go, and people really don't want to be stopped on their way into the store lolll we at least talked to a couple people, but I definitely don't think this is a very effective technique in Montana😅

Okay last story, I promise. Saturday we were able to meet Jodie. She's an older lady. Missionaries have taught her in the past a little bit, so we decided to pay her a visit. This ended up turning into a very long lesson. One thing you should know about Jodie is that she has more anxiety and fear than anyone I have every met. She has some trauma, and the thought of going to church freaks her out. She has been reading the Book of Mormon, and is genuinely interested in learning more, and trying to work up to coming to church. We are taking very baby steps with her right now, and hopefully as we do, she will become more comfortable with everything. I have never wanted this for anyone more than I do for Jodie because I know that this gospel can bring her peace and change her life, so that she doesn't live in fear anymore. She is brave, and I know one day she'll have the courage.

Spiritual thought:

I've been thinking about faith a lot this week, and throughout my life I have found that if I even have the faith to take the first step into something, it always works out. Life can be scary and overwhelming. Our abilities are constantly being stretched, and there are always knew things to try. If you put your trust in the Lord and have the courage to just take one step, he will guide us through the rest. I think about serving a mission, going to hair school, moving out for the first time, etc. It's scary and uncomfortable at times. Starting is always the hardest part, but if you take one step, He will expand you to be able to do what you thought you couldn't do. We come out on the other side stronger because we had the faith to go through uncomfortable things that help us grow into a better person. As I've heard many times before, you do your best and the Lord will do the rest❤️
