Storytime!!

We had a super awesome miracle a couple weeks ago. Sister Hansen and I prayed about where we should go knock the next day, and we felt prompted to go knock a certain street. We got to the street and it didn't look super welcoming, it is in an area with lots of trailers and trailer houses. A very poor part of town. Nobody seemed to be home as we went door to door, but then we saw a lady outside her trailer. We went up and talked to her, and she immediately started crying. She told us that she had been praying for us all day. Maybe not specifically for us, but for someone, or help, or just an opportunity. She was trying to clean her father's trailer who was about to come home from the hospital and she was super overwhelmed. It was a ton of work. We ended up sharing a scripture with her, and sobbed as we read it. She knew that God sent us to her. She then asked where she could get one of those books, and said that she had been thinking that she wanted to start going to church, but she didnt know where to go. Of course we gave her the information, as we do lol, and she was super excited to come! We were able to introduce her to a member of the ward so that she could get a ride to church. It was perfect because sister Hansen and I were giving talks that Sunday. Her name is Alli, and she is so cool!! God has been preparing her for us, and he led us to her at the very perfect time. He answered our prayers of where we needed to be, and he answered her prayers for someone to come help her. We've met with her a few more times since then, and she is loving everything we talk about!

We work so hard all day long, and sometimes go weeks without seeing hardly any success, but we go out and do it happily because we know there are people like Alli who need us, and who need the gospel.

We also had transfers this week, and sadly the most inspired companionship in the mission is no longer😢 Sister Hansen left me, but I am now back with Sister Bastian!! I trained her as a greenie, and now I get to train her as an STL! I am really excited for this transfer, she is a super hard worker, and there is so much good in store for this area. Oh also they took one of our areas from us, so we are no longer double covering which is actually so sad. Most of the people we were teaching are now in the elder's hands(wish our friends luck😝) It'll be good though, more time to find and work with people in this area.

Spiritual thought:

The last little while I have been thinking a lot about pride. There are things I have struggled with on my mission whether it's a comanion, not feeling motivated, or just feeling down in general. My perspective has changed immensely, about the mission, but also about life and others. Most of the time the issue is our pride and we need to realize that we are no better than the person next to us, and we are not cool enough to interfere God's plan. We have no idea what others are going through, and we are not perfect either. You can judge someone when you're perfect, but I hate to break it to you, that's not gonna happen in this life, so just learn to change your perspective and view of others. Once you learn how to see people how Christ does, you will find so much more joy in your own life. There are so many different perspectives you can look from, but I encourage you to choose the eternal one, and if that's too overwhelming look at each problem with Christ's character in mind. I have seen such a difference in myself when I started to recognize that the way I handled situations, and the way I looked at others was not how Heavenly Father wanted me to. I still have a long way to go, but it starts with a desire.
