A God of Miracles
Hey it's me again!

This week was a little boring, but we saw some pretty cool miracles. I also aquired a nickname at some point along the way, "Sister Mickey" we'll see if that sticks throughout the mish or not🤪
Tuesday we were able to have another lesson with our friend Jodie(the old lady that's afraid of everything) at first when we got there she told us that she needs to take a step back. She's also been having nightmares related to church. She has some major religious trauma due to things that happened in the past. Ngl I was pretty disappointed because I had so much hope for her. We then continued to have a really good conversation and clarified a lot that she had questions about. The next day she texted us and thanked us for talking with her and helping her. She said that she not only didn't have a nightmare, but she had a helpful dream clarifying things. When she sent this text I knew that God was aware of her and that he has it under control. Even if Jodie isn't ready right now, she is seeing God's hand, and she hasn't given up yet. We might not be consistently meeting with her, but she is still pushing forward and progressing on her own.
Tuesday evening we went to see a guy named Preston. We had knocked on his door a few times previously, but he was never home. This time he was! Preston was awesome and said that he really wants to meet with us and start coming to church! He wants a better relationship with Christ and wants that for his family as well. This was such a miracle and we were stoked after this! Since then we have tried to text him and he won't respond, but I'm not giving up!
On Thursday I had a really cool experience that opened my eyes. We were once again trying to contact a lady. Nobody answered, but as we stood there I was looking around the street. A certain house caught my eye, but not for any specific reason. I got the impression that we should knock that door, so we did. A guy named Ryan answered. He said that they don't have a church that they currently go to, but he let us share a message with him. I asked if he would be interested in learning more about our church and he said, yeah he was curious about it. He proceeded to tell us that he wasn't usually home at that time. I've always known that God is aware of each of us, but in that moment it was made clear to me because He knew that Ryan would be home, we would be in his neighborhood, and the lady we were trying to contact wouldn't answer. That wasn't a coincidence. It was a prompting from the Holy Ghost, and I'm grateful to have that gift with me always. Of course he didn't respond when we texted him either(typical)
This is kind of a boring email, but I have one more story! Saturday we were able to have a lesson with Shane! Shane was previously on date to get baptized, but his sister talked him out of it a few days before. Missionaries have not been able to get ahold of him for months, but finally he responded and set up a time to meet!! This lesson was really awesome. The spirit was strong, and we helped him realize that he is always welcome whether he is baptized or not. He expressed how much he enjoyed his time at church and with the people there. He agreed to coming to church on Sunday and then proceeded to not show up🫠
Not much else happened this week besides the weather actually dropped, and it has been absolutely freezing!! So I fear that the mild Montana winter is over🥶🧊It takes my body a while to warm up after tracting in it for an hour at a time. Anyways, I am so grateful for each of the experiences I had this week, and the joy it brings me when we have good interactions with people, and help them feel God's love for them. Although each of these ended with us not getting responses, or the outcome we had hoped, it is still refreshing to have those positive experiences. These are only a few of the people we are hoping to start teaching and we have many more. Please pray that we will get responses from some of them and see more miracles come from it. I know the joy this gospel can bring to every person and it makes me sad for them when they miss out on this opportunity.
Spiritual thought:
2 Nephi 28:30 "For behold, thus saith the Lord God: I will give unto the children of men line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little; and blessed are those who hearken unto my precepts, and lend an ear unto my counsel, for they shall learn wisdom; for unto him that receiveth I will give more..."
Each of these little successes are significant and will add up to something great. We learn "line upon line" and this is true, not only for our knowledge, but for our faith as well. Each small miracle will slowly build our faith until it becomes something that will never fail. The things that could end up being discouraging will actually become gratitude as we recognize the miracle in the beginning. One thing I have to keep in my mind is that the choices and actions of others, are not dependent on me. The only thing I can control is myself. Set the example and don't give up, but when they choose another way, remember it's their choice.
Love love love you all☺️
