At Christmas, our hearts turn to the Savior of the world—Jesus Christ, the Son of God, whose birth brought light and hope into a dark and waiting world. The angel’s message to the shepherds still speaks to us today: “Behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy.” That joy is found in Jesus Christ.

Christmas is not only a celebration of Christ’s birth, but a reminder of His divine mission. Born in humble circumstances, He came to show us the way back to our Heavenly home. Because of Him, hope is never lost. His life, teachings, and perfect example show us how to love, forgive, and serve one another.

Most importantly, Jesus Christ is our hope because of His Atonement. Through His suffering in Gethsemane, His death on the cross, and His glorious Resurrection, He overcame sin and death for all mankind. Because of Him, we can be forgiven when we repent, strengthened in our trials, and comforted in our sorrows. Because of Him, families can be eternal, and death is not the end.

In a world that often feels uncertain and heavy, the Savior offers peace that “passeth all understanding.” He invites each of us to come unto Him, to lay our burdens at His feet, and to find rest for our souls. Christmas reminds us that God did not leave us alone—He sent His Son. Christ reminds us “to be of good cheer for He has overcome the world.

As we celebrate this sacred season, may we remember that true hope is found in Jesus Christ. As we follow Him, trust Him, and share His love with others, His light will continue to shine in our lives and in the world. This is the message of Christmas. This is the message of Christ!
