Sister Julia Walters has been called to serve in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Australia Brisbane North Mission, English speaking. Julia starts her mission on October 7, 2026. Stake Primary had a Super Service activity August 29th in the morning. The Valiant Activity children (ages 8-11) met in their church building to help clean the toys in the nursery. The kids had fun while doing service to help keep the Stake’s youngest disciples healthy!

Eder Cameron Spilker returned from serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the Korea, Seoul South Mission, and spoke Korean. Elder Cameron Spilker will report his mission Sunday, August 30th at 1:30 in the Whipple Chapel. It is located at 121 Whipple Way, Mesquite. Zackary and Jamie Spilker of the Summer Crest Ward, East Stake are Cameron's parents. Welcome home!

Sister Rhoda Bahl of the Vistas Ward passed away early Saturday morning, July 25, 2026. There will be a memorial service on Monday, July 27 at 12 noon in the Whipple Relief Society room. All are invited.

Vernon “Vern” Reber — A Life Rooted in Family, Work, and the Outdoors Early Life Born January 20, 1954 in St. George, Utah, Vern was the son of Roland A. Reber and LaRella Gifford. Vern passed away July 28, 2026 in St. George, Utah. His childhood unfolded in Mesquite, Nevada, the place that shaped him and ultimately became the home he always returned to. Elder Beau James Garrett has accepted his call from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He will serve in the Dominican Republic Santo Domingo North Mission, Spanish speaking. Beau will start with home MTC on August 26, 2026, and then go to the Mexico City Missionary Training Center on September 10th.
