East Stake Primary

The East Stake Primary had an activity September 9th. As the children came in, they met with Joseph Smith, who told them about his experience getting and translating the plates. Then explain to them that they will be meeting other people who were in the books he translated. The children went on to meet Nephi and heard his story of traveling in the wilderness and receiving the Liahona. The children then were able to make a Liahona. They went onto meet the brother of Jared and heard his story of making the boats and how God asked him to solve the problem of not having light in the boats. He explained how at his suggestion God touched rocks and they glowed. The children then were able to make boats, with corks on each side and filled them with glowing rocks.
