Dear Sisters,
As we draw close to the day we celebrate the birth of our Savior, our thoughts naturally turn to gifts. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, gave us the greatest gift which we focus on especially this time of year. But, this Christmas, let’s also consider the many gifts of the Spirit which our beloved Father in Heaven has blessed each of us with. I was watching a message from Sister Camille Johnson this evening about these gifts—attributes, talents and abilities. She quoted Marvin J. Ashton who listed several gifts I had not thought of before. I found her short message to be inspiring and a good reminder that our unique abilities and talents are truly individual gifts from a Father who loves us. I am truly grateful for the gifts I have been given. I am convinced He knows me and carefully selected what would not only be of the most help to me in this life, but which gifts I would need to bless the lives of others.
