f0199de0-6dde-486b-a43a-c07de4037d87 Elder Jeremy Perkins Back to Missionary Letters Hey guys! Hope all is going great! We had an awesome week. The fire is out and the rains have started to come. We even received an alert on our phones saying flash flood warning! My family is in Oregon! I am going to the temple tomorrow to receive my endowment! I am so excited and grateful for this opportunity and experience I will have. My mom, dad, and older brother will all be able to come. The silver lining in all of this is that my brother is able to go, in which if Covid-19 never had happened he wouldn't be. The Lords hand is in all things. It will be a memorable one for sure. Kinda weird to think that they are actually here! Sorry I know this is a short one but I will make sure to write more next week. Love you all, stay awesome! Previous Letter Next Letter

You have reason to stand tall and be grateful that the Living Son of the Living God knows all about your sorrows and afflictions. The only way to salvation is through Gethsemane and on to Calvary. The only way to eternity is through Him —the Way, the Truth, and the Life."-Elder Jeffrey R. Holland As we begin the New Year, may we always remember that God loves all of His children, and that He will always be by our side. The Atonement will carry all of us, I know that to be true, may we always remember Christs Atoning sacrifice as we begin this new year. Happy New Year! 12-30-2019 Hey everyone! Hope you all have been great! I apologize for not sending an email last week, my pday was Christmas and I was all over the place. Christmas was great, we went to the Sanders family's home and had breakfast. They have 6 wild funny kids. They showed us all their presents, they were very excited. We then went to the Rambo family home, they gave us gifts, they gave us a ginger bread house, and a painting that one of their kids made, it was great! We then hung out with our District, we made gingerbread houses and played spikeball, it was really fun 😆 afterwards we had dinner with the Webster family, they're a great family. This will be a shorter email because 1. We have a really busy pday today and 2. it's new Years eve. A talk I read this week is from the March 2001 Ensign by Elder Holland titled missionary Work and the Atonement. A quote I love from it is "The Atonement will carry the missionaries perhaps even more importantly than it will carry the investigators. When you struggle, when you are rejected, when you are spit upon and cast out and made a hiss and a byword, you are standing shoulder to shoulder with the best life this world has ever known, the only pure and perfect life ever lived. You have reason to stand tall and be grateful that the Living Son of the Living God knows all about your sorrows and afflictions. The only way to salvation is through Gethsemane and on to Calvary. The only way to eternity is through Him —the Way, the Truth, and the Life." The Atonement will carry all of us, I know that to be true, may we always remember His Atoning sacrifice as we begin this new year. Have a wonderful New Year everyone! b6ccc235-5a6b-431d-9d91-999cd9831061 Sister Jordan Memmott Back to Missionary Letters Forever grateful🤍🤍 Hi y'all! This is it! My last email on my mission! I can hardly even believe how fast these last 18 months have gone! Some of the best times of my life and I wouldn't change it for the world!💌🫶🏼 I had the best last week and we saw so many miracles every single day!! - had my departing interview with President John and it was so so good! He has been the best of the best and I've learned so much from him! #blessed - we got stuck at this apartment complex because of a little fiasco with this guy! There were about 15 cops cars surrounding the building and we couldn't leave. Everyone was out watching and trying to figure out what was happening! But hey during all of it we talked to so many people and even found a member who hasn't been to church in a couple of years! - I got to see a lot of my old comps and had to say goodbye for now😢 love them so much - we had 5 of our friends come to church!!! What a miracle. They all loved it and will hopefully come back again:) - everytime we went to visit someone yesterday they were either not home or busy but everytime we found another person who wanted to learn more and meet with us! So it all worked out and we were definitely led where we needed to be for a reason! I just love my Savior! There aren't enough words to express how grateful I am for Him!! I'll forever be grateful for my mission! I love all the people I've met in Texas and they've changed my life in so many ways! There's so much joy that comes from living the gospel! Just know that God is good all of the time and that he loves you💟 I'll see you guys soon! My homecoming will be this Sunday! Let me know if you want the info;) Sister Memmott🩷🩷 Previous Letter Next Letter

  • Sister Alyson Cook

3ede0df5-90fc-45d3-9154-378450032aa1 Sister Alyson Cook Back to Missionary Letters The work will go on Hello everyone! My goal is to keep this short, so wish me luck. We are continuing to be quarantined until further notice, but this wasn't anything that we didn't expect. But we are continuing to be shown time and time again that the Lord knows what he's doing! Some miracles I've seen throughout the week; - We don't have enough time in the day. We have to be aware of every minute of time because everyday is filled to the brim! -Ariana is continuing to progress amazingly! It's so cool to be able to witness the gospel change her life right in front of my very eyes - Tons of missionaries from this ward have returned home due to Corona, and we have someone who has just been a stellar missionary! He requested 5 Book of Mormons already to give to his friends. Will update you on that! -Sister Rosenbeck and I have been praying to receive revelation for our areas worm, and everyday we've been able to pinpoint moments where we were lead by the Spirit in what we need to do! - So many lessons! I don't know if it's that my other two areas were slower, but quarantine seems to have increased the amount of lessons we are teaching to people. We're so busy! I'd like to share a scripture that I read this week. It's been on my mind a lot lately. It's from the Book of Mormon (Alma 17:10) and it's talking about the sons of King Mosiah and Alma the younger preparing to go to the Lamonites, or unbelievers to share the Gospel to them. The verse says "And it came to pass that the Lord did visit them with his Spirit, and said unto them: Be comforted. And they were comforted." The next chapters go on to share about their mission over the next 14 years. They were cast into prison, they starved, they were beaten, and many many other trials. At the end of this story, they were bring 7 Lamonites cities to the knowledge of Christ, which is amazing! But that wasnt for a long time. I'm sure that in the middle of their trials I'm sure that they thought "why the heck am I doing this?" Many times. But the Lord, in all His goodness, knew exactly what they were going to go through beforehand. To prepare them and give them assurance that that was truly the right direction, before they ever set out he visited them with His spirit and gave them peace. So when they would be going through it, they would be able to recall that experience and know with assurity why they are there and that God is with them. That's a truth that can be applied to lots of different situations, so I invite you to read that chapter (Alma 17) and ponder how the Lord gave you peace before the trial. I love you all! Thank you for being in my life :) Sister Cook Previous Letter Next Letter

7f5c933b-5487-4061-8ce9-39e5efee59df Elder Isaac Iverson Back to Missionary Letters Final Stretch It's been a while since I've updated all my folks, so here's what I got. I'm still in Culebra Creek/Wildhorse. I've had a load of responsibility thrown on me as of late, which is great because I prefer to be busy. Right now I'm zone leader of west zone and training a new missionary. My mission president is also having me pilot tracting in this mission before we open it up to the whole mission, which has been great! Since I've done it before, it has been super fun to go back. We've found a few people, but tracting never was or will be the most effective way to find people to teach. We have a A LOT of miracles as of late (all credit to the Lord🤍)! Thanks to our members and faithful friends we are teaching, we were able to have 7 nonmembers at church last week! It was crazy and because of overlapping meetings we had to leave some of our friends in the hands of our members. It was awesome!! Nobody committed to baptism yet, but we are getting really close with more than a few! 🙏 I don't know if I'll send out another one of these updates before I go home because I'm a terrible emailer. I hit my 22 months on Sunday and I go home at the end of September. I love y'all, but I'm not ready to go home. This mission has meant everything to me! I love serving the Lord with all of my heart, so I do my best to give my all to Him. I have such a firm testimony that Christ has a church on the earth today and that is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! The Lord has been so wonderful to me, and I hope to turn that around and help others! Previous Letter Next Letter

929a47cf-9ef7-42f7-8d75-a8bff37a9535 Sister Kylie Cannon Back to Missionary Letters I’m Home Hey everybody it's been a couple weeks. I didn't think I would write another weekly email. But might as well end one with a bang right?! so guess whatttttt... I finished the "last lap" of my mission pretty quick. 6 weeks early. You didn't know I was so fast huh ;).Here is the low down. My pops decided to finish his "race" of life quicker than we all thought too. My dad gave his whole heart to my family and I. He worked his tail off to support us and teach us how to work hard. March 8th 2021 we finished his time here on earth and i'm sure he ran right into the embrace of his momma on the other side of the veil. My dad got really sick the past month and it was his time to go. Let me tell ya I LOVE MY DAD! I also love my heavenly father who sent me to my mom and dad. I am grateful for Jesus Christ. Because of his life, death and resurrection I know I can see my dad again. You can if you have lost a loved one. I LOVED MY MISSION. I HAVE LOVED MY COMPANIONS AND MISSION PRESIDENTS. It has been the greatest learning experience of my life so far. I have met lovely people and have made some lasting friendships. I have witnessed the power that comes into people's lives as they love and serve God with their whole might, mind and strength. I know the Book of Mormon is the Word of God. I know God lives. I know angels are real. I know life is hard but our burdens can be made lighter as we turn to Him who knows all. I am grateful for the time I have had to be a representative of Jesus Christ and teach others about His gospel in the Perth Australia mission and the Tempe Arizona Mission. A pic of my family and I at the funeral. They are some good looking people whooyee. I love yall. Hope yall are well. God Loves You. love, Kylie Cannon kyliecannon8@gmail.com Previous Letter Next Letter

  • Sister Savannah Price

8765f108-e85c-4753-bdfb-66997b98309b Sister Savannah Price Back to Missionary Letters 20 days???????????? Hola a todos Today I actually decided to write an email. Why? Definitely not because we popped a tire in our car and are currently waiting at Les Schwab for them to fix it, no no, definitely can't be that hehe Well to be honest with yall, this might be the last mass email you ever get from me. I only have a few pdays left, and with today being an exception with time, this might be it. Sorry about that 😅😌 Not too much crazy stuff has been going on anyways, just trying to stay on my feet for these last few weeks. I've seen the Lord's hand in a lot of different ways. I remember when I was younger, I used to ask myself a lot if I was feeling the Holy Ghost or if that was just me talking. As these months of my mission have gone by, I've begun to feel the HG in more aspects of my life, not just the spiritual ones. Sometimes I'll get the prompting that I need to bring my coat with me to go proselyting, and then I'm shocked to find out that it's cold outside and dang I really should have brought my jacket 😂 Nowadays I feel like the promptings come as strong as ever, with a lot of different meanings or significances. When I was younger, I felt like I only felt the Holy Ghost in the strongest of spiritual moments; like at devotionals or church or conference weekend. During my mission we have time set aside every week that we have devotionals or church or councils and with it comes an increase of the spirit, always. At this point, I feel like if I don't feel the spirit it's because I am avoiding it, because I don't want to feel it, because he is always there. I don't know what I'm going to do when I go home and don't always have the spirit with me. Luckily, I've learned a few tricks along the way. I've learned that if I start my day off with scripture study like I've done here, then my days go better. If I pray in the mornings and ask for the spirit, he is there with me. If I make a conscious effort to be more christlike, then I AM more Christlike, what a concept. Sorry to ramble, just some thoughts I've been having. The Lord knows why I am here. Maybe I don't yet, but he does and he will when the right time comes. He'll know. And I'll know. I love all of you! Sorry I'm so bad at taking pics. Maybe I'll scrounge some up and we can see what we'll get haha Keep fighting yall. Keep your origins in your heart. That's what it takes to be a Hero, right? That's what it takes to be a disciple? I know you can do it! That's what it takes to Go Beyond! PLUS ULTRA 💜 Previous Letter Next Letter
