How was the week?!?! That's GREAT TO HEAR😱😱 I'm doing great and it's been a great/stressful/hectic/🫠🫠🫠 week. First of all, I just want to say thank you. Your prayers worked. JACKIE GOT BAPTIZED!! It was sooooo good!! It was such a happy day!! She was late and was anxious but as soon as she got into the building, she felt peace and it all went smoothly🙂 Here's my super duper donut hole week! - For P Day we played Topgolf, ate Chipotle, walked the Walnut Street Bridge, and ate ice cream. It was so much fun, a repeat of one of my favorite P Days! After the Sisters split, we saw a carousel and it was FREE! You know we had to hop on that sheesh it was living childhood dreams😌 That night we watched Prezzy Nelson's 100th birthday celebration! It was a lot of fun to see him in action. My personal favorite was the Elder Eyring/Elder Oaks podcast. We need more of those it was very entertaining😂 - Not too many pictures but I'll try to take a picture with Katelynn, Isabell, and Kae-Lei so yall can see the awesome little rebels I'm teaching rn! They're so much fun😂 - We had a great Wednesday we had our first big lesson with Kae-Lei! She's so mature for being 16, she knows and wants so much more than I did at 16 it's wild! We taught about the Plan of Salvation and pray next time we'll set a date for baptism🙏 - Also Wednesday was Jackie's Baptismal Interview. We(I) was kinda nervous since it was with our mission president and I've been the one to teach her all I know, so I had to trust what I know. But she PASSED and President said she was so unbelievably prepared so yayyyyy😁 -Friday we had another exchange with the ZLs! I was in Lafayette again(still haven't gone to Chattanooga) but I was with Elder Shelley again!! A repeat exchange and I loveddddddd it🤩 it was much needed and we found some awesome people! - Jackie was baptized Saturday and evem though setting up the program was stressful as all get out, it was so worth it! We had amazing talks, lots of family that weren't members, and successful baptism and confirmations despite the flaws of the ones performing them(Elder Naufahu and Elder Maxfield). As I confirmed Jackie, I was filled with the Spirit. I know now what the scriptures mean when the Spirit overwhelms their body and they feel faint. I could feel my body being a literal conduit for the Priesthood of God to flow through me. I was absolutely 100% exhausted afterwards😵💫😵💫🥱🥱 The more we prepare for those feelings the more accustomed to the overpowering feeling it has on us and the better the experiences! I loved helping Jackie I any way I could and I've loved helping one more person get baptized in to Christ's restored church. Not much more excitement! Please pray for our friends we need all the help we can get sometimes! I love yall so much, please know I'm praying for yall always! I know that God's work is true. It will go forward boldly and will never stop, but will we join in the march? Ponder what you need to do to help God's work push forward! - Love yall! ELDER MAXFIELD🤙🫶🏻🧡 Previous Letter Next Letter

6ad2c467-b582-4deb-a92f-c470f1da71dd Elder Stetson Ludvigson Back to Missionary Letters Wow the time is running down real quick, also depending on how crazy next week is this might be my last email. Because next week we have new missionaries coming, missionaries going the the Temple in Phillippines, missionaries leaving and transfer, all within a few days. So that will be wild and we are still not sure what the plan is. But this week was as usual, amazing! I dont have too much time right now so I will keep it short and sweet. This week we helped the youth in the Surakarta stake with filming a music video for the church, it was pretty awesome we were able to meet with everyone, and we also were able to go and see the big soccer stadium here in Solo. Also one of the youth forgot his church shoes so I let him borrow mine for most the day while they filmed, and so I just walked around barefoot, which is really normal here haha! This week was also filled with a bunch of member visits, I am trying to visit everyone one more time before I go home. The members here are the absolute best! This week we also helped a lot of the missionaries with their family history for the temple, most of them only have one generation of family history completed. We also were able to visit one of my all time favorite families this week! They just got reactivated in the church and their 15 year old daughter was just baptized, they are the best! Sunday was wild this week, so one of the returned missionaries that used to serve here came back and visited with his wife and he wanted to visit a ton of members. So we helped them out and basically biked around all of our area visiting members both active and inactive. One of the members we visited has been inactive for about 3 years but he made a promise that he and his family will be at church this next sunday, which is one of the greatest feeling ever as a missionary! He also is an artist and has some awesome paintings that he did in his house! Crazy literally only a few more days left! I am going to miss Indonesia and the people here sooo much! It's been really hard coming here but so worth it, and I am really bummed because right when I am getting the language and starting to make awesome relationships with people they ship me home haha, grateful for the time I spent here! Hopefully I will be able to see a lot of you next week!!! crazy I know! Love y'all Sampai Jumpa Previous Letter Next Letter

Wasilla is a great it’s a small community with lots of kind and generous people. The gospel is sting here. The wards are really tight knit. I love my companion. We get along really well. I have been able to see some of the most beautiful things up here. I have seen moose, eagles, bears and fish galore. The days are getting longer and the weather is getting a little warmer. Not as warm as home. I will write more next week. Love Elder Reber. Previous Letter Next Letter

  • Sister Sage Bundy

d00fcbce-742c-4e91-984c-0d14eae1d195 Sister Sage Bundy Back to Missionary Letters "She is just so adorably clueless" Fun fact about Sister Bundy: the last movie she watched before getting set apart was Clueless (because of course) and this line is kind of the mood for the week. Okay in all honesty, I'm not doing too bad. I've got one week in the field all done! And this week I officially hit my one month mark (weird, right?) And so far the mission has been a party. Well, maybe party isn't the right word because #reverence but it's been overall a solid week. Last Sunday before I left for the field I surprised my family at the Bundy Reunion for testimony meeting!!! Ahhh, it was the best thing ever. I was still sad to miss the dances, races, ice caves, and general festivities BUT testimony meeting was amazing and I got the opportunity to report on my mission as a set apart missionary which was SUCH a cool experience. I feel like there's so much strength to be gained by sharing your testimony with your family and hearing theirs in return. Its seriously so so awesome. It was also good to have one last trip to Mt Trumbull before I left. I love that place with my whole heart. On Tuesday we drove me to my mission which was super cool. Little advantage of driving to your mission is there's no weight limit and no one to check your bags so we packed my carryon full of steaks and hamburger because I may as well not bid farewell to good Bundy beef just yet. My parents also got to meet my mission president and his wife as well as both of my companions so that was also neat. Speaking of which, I met my trainer this week! Her name is Sister Fambrough and she is just the cutest ever. I seriously love her so much. I was lowkey scared that I'd get an awful trainer but lucky me, I totally scored. We get along super well and have tons of fun and laugh a lot. Shes also a hard worker and I feel like we accomplish lots as well. We also live with some Spanish speaking sisters and that's lots of fun as well. Hermana Draut makes me laugh so so hard every single day and Hermana Coray is super sweet, so I definitely am feeling blessed in the roomie department. Last little story in this email but I have to tell you guys about this super cool experience that Sister Fambrough and I had. So we have zoom calls with the whole mission three times a week, so a lot of times we'll go over to the church to watch them. Our mission is kind of bad at time-keeping apparently because they always go over. Anyways. Surprise, we were late getting out but I'm so glad we were! So as we're in the church, we look out the window and see that someone is kinda circling the parking lot. We didn't think too much of it, but when we got out that same car was parked in the shade and they looked like they were having trouble of some kind. We went over and introduced ourselves and asked if we could help with anything. They said they had fuses out and wondered if we had any replacements. We said that we would call the elders and offered to get them some water because it was starting to get hot. We ran to our apartment and called the elders and while we were waiting for a call back we decided to run and quickly grab some lunch. As we passed the church, we noticed that the car was gone. We ran through a drive through and when we got all the way around, GUESS who was standing there? The guy from the parking lot!! We gave him the water and some granola bars and we went around to their car and gave them a Book if Mormon. They also said a prayer with us and have us their contact information. It was awesome. In Gods plan, there are no coincidences. That's about all I got for you guys this week but I love you all and I hope that the rest of your week is great. Previous Letter Next Letter

ce04ad9c-d0c9-44af-92ca-38debe2e4bd3 Sister Kaden Lee Back to Missionary Letters 0 to 365 real quick hi friends! how are you?? be honest. this week was pretty goof. a lot is going on but I'm handling it like a champ💪🏼😤. okay so on monday , I played some spikeball and some other game where we mixed kickball and cricket (a big workout) and I enjoyed both activities especially because I was playing with a bunch of 20 year olds... very wholesome 🙃. on tuesday we had dinner with the Eldridge family and they have the cutest dog named Bruce and I had to get a picture with him. #itsthelittlethings on wednesday , we went knocking and unintentionally knocked an active members door, brother and sister Perkins. when she opened the door I was like, "OH! I KNOW YOU!" and she said, "were you expecting someone else?" I just about died. she welcomed us into her home, got her husband, introduced us to all the cats, and let us share a message. they gave us some referrals to visit then sent us on our way. the members here are GOATS. I adore them. thursday morning, Elder Eardley and Elder Garza called and were like, "hey so we just found out our apartment manager hates Elders living here... can we swap apartments?" and I was like, "yeah sure" then they were like, "HAHAHA it was a pRaNk! happy one year! what are we doing to celebrate?" about 20 minutes later, they sent a text that said, "Hey uh you guys wanna go to bdubs at noon for no particular reason?" so we went to buffalo wild wings with the district for no particular reason then taught some epic lessons to our friends, Judy, Susie, and Javier. pray for them. pls. we woke up on friday to messages from the Elders telling us that they're sick and won't make it to service at a food pantry. which was a blessing because someone had to do their job and that someone was Amy. she had a lot of questions for us and she was also so kind and fun. hopefully we will get to see her again. 🤞🏻🤞🏻 there was a marathon on saturday and we got to direct traffic and the runners. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH it was so chaotic. I loved it. Alberta was supposed to be baptized on saturday but that didn't end up happening :( the plan is now this saturday, the 30th. pray for Alberta <3 read the whole book of Mosiah. thanks. ****QUOTE OF THE WEEK "I'm gonna open a member friendly night club in utah." - Elder Eardley "When they were talking about how difficult missionaries lives are, my mind immediately went to how hard it must be to cause contention in the district" - Jacob Hirschi much luv, sisdur lee 3453 SW Burlingame Rd Apt A-302 Topeka, KS 66611 Previous Letter Next Letter

  • Sister Hanna Haviland

1df2eb91-3a2e-4a3f-a36e-553e2411a356 Sister Hanna Haviland Back to Missionary Letters How COVID affected my mission I have loved having the chance to really focused on how my experiences as a missionary have strengthened my testimony of the Restoration. In this time of doubt and question, I have had great peace of mind and have never had much of a doubt that God is using this to build His kingdom here on Earth. I love getting to see families spend more time together and people start to realize what they really need to prioritize just strengthens my testimony that YES! the Lord really can turn anything into an experience for our good. We really do have a living prophet and God, through him, has been preparing us for this time when we can not gather together physically as Saints. But this is a new generation and time to become spiritually strong as we learn together how to have a more home centered and church supported learning system. I have loved being able to still keep the sabbath day holy and hold our own Church Service. As I sat down to write this, I had all of these wonderful moments of revelation flood back to my memory and a sincere appreciation for my mission and the restored Church and Gospel of Jesus Chriest fell over my heart. One of the most important truths that I have come to realize is the importance of the sacrament. My first sunday being home for quarantine, I showed up to our "church service" an hour early to prepare spiritually. It felt wonderful to have a sacrament meeting. It has been two Sundays since I have been able to take the sacrament and oh how I have missed it. but it didn't hit me hard until we started to sing the sacrament hymn and my Dad started to prepare the sacrament. My voice was lost in the tears that streamed down my face and I had an overwhelming portion of the spirit engulf my soul in a wave of love, forgiveness, peace and understanding. The understanding of how important the sacrament, priesthood, living prophets, and the restoration really is. I have had many of these witnesses within the first 14 months of my mission but none of them had ever hit me quite this strong. I am so grateful for the priesthood and the fact that God loves His Children enough that He allows the priesthood into each of our homes. Is is so important to live worthy of this blessing in each of our lives. I know President Russel M. Nelson is a prophet of God. I know the Book of Mormon is true and through it we learn many more restored truths. I know that Jesus Christ is still guiding His people and He will never leave us aimless. This is His plan, and we are a part of it. He is still leading us home. I was blessed to serve in the two places that I needed the most. The Philippines will always be my mission, but the lessons I learned and the people I met while serving in Iowa will forever hold a special place in my heart. Even before I got my reassignment, I knew that my mission was not over. I was so close to the deadline that I really thought that I might not go back, but the spirit testified to me otherwise. He was preparing my heart to serve the Lord’s children in Iowa from the moment I learned we would be leaving the Philippines. I was only there for a short twelve weeks, but the moment I met my new companion I knew that I was where I needed to be. It wasn’t until I went home that I realized WHY I needed to be in Iowa, but God knew the whole time. I was learning line upon line but God was guiding ever step. COVID changed my mission because it changed how I did missionary work. From knocking doors 24/7 to sitting behind one, I learned that no matter the place, no matter the circumstances, The Lords work will go forward boldly, nobly and to all nations. Our missions do not start when we put on a tag and stop when we take it off. Each of us has the responsibility to gather Zion however and whenever we can. The spirit will always whisper to us how we can take part in, what our dear prophet refers to, as the greatest work. There is no greater work especially in these last days. COVID is our Father’s wake up call to us to stand up, get out and go to work. The time is not far distant that our Savior will return to call upon His sheep. So the question we must as ourselves is “am I ready?”. There is no greater way to prepare ourselves that to help others be prepared as well. Through teaching we learn, and by giving we receive. How we react to this challenge will greatly reflect our level of conversion. Have faith. Forsake pride. Repent. Forgiveness freely. Be more careful and less casual in covenant keeping. Follow the prophet. Read the scriptures. And do it all little by little in the strength of the Lord. I testify that these things are the things that will help us to have happier lives and bring us closer to our Father in Heaven. This is our Savior's Church. I testify these things are true in His name, Jesus Christ, Amen. -Sister Haviland Previous Letter Next Letter

  • Sister Abbie Wilson

f8067cc6-f0ad-40be-a7e9-9e81a639f2f8 Sister Abbie Wilson Back to Missionary Letters NEW PEOPLE AND NEW THINGS Hey guys, I'm trying to be more consistent about writing these emails. This week has been a crazy one so that is why I'm writing one right now haha. Monday was a good time. We sat and chilled at home and called our families which is always nice. Later that night we got a call from President Campbell which I thought was going to be scary. We found out that we were going be in a trio, which was absolutely crazy. I was actually so pumped, but also nervous because Trio's sometimes don't end up well. Tuesday we went and picked Sister Paine up! She is the third sister joining us. As we were driving home we had a lot to talk about. We then went to lunch and then dot hopped until our lessons. After we were finished with the lessons we went to institute which is always a good time. When inistitute was over I decided I needed a blessing before we all went home. I asked Hughesy to do that for me and it was great! I left feeling amazing and knowing that I could do this. Wednesday we had a couple of lessons which were a lot of fun. Sister Paine and I also became really good friends so fast. She is honestly one of my bestfriends. We taught our friends dad Jeremy, and our friend Shane. They are so ready to join the church! After the lessons we went to our local food pantry to provide service. We stand there, yell out the numbers, and take the carts out haha. Sister Paine and I were laughing the whole time. I also taught my old man friend Dave thats 83 the only tiktok dance I know haha. It was so much fun. He is the sweetest and cutest thing ever. Thursday we had exchanges with the STL'S and I got to be with Sister Hardcastle again! It was literally so much fun. We had a blast reminiscing and talking about the new stuff that is going on with us. We took so many pictures at the beach, walking the streets, and sitting in the car haha. After walking the streets, we went to dinner with Charles who is Sister Hardcastles member friend that loves to take us out to dinner. Later that night we stayed up late talking and just having a blast. I miss being with her. Friday, Sister Hardcastle and I drove to District Council and jammed out together. It was so much fun. We had a great DC and then had donuts and apple cider during it. After we went to lunch and did our exchange meetings. I got to come back to my trio which is always a blast. We all got in the car and headed towards our lessons we had for the rest of the day. At our second lesson we ended up playing the piano at the nursing home. Our friend Colton showed up a little later and started playing the piano, and talking to us. I then asked him when he was going to take us to dinner and he told us next Thursday so we are pumped haha. Saturday we helped clean out Lisa's closets which was actually crazy. Sister Paine is good at helping people clean and make decisions so she got rid of a lot of stuff. Later we watched conference all day that the church. I also crocheted the whole time so that was fun. I forgot that I knew how to so it was good to pick it back up. My friend Caylie that is in the ward bought me some snacks for conference and it was so nice of her. She is literally my favorite. Sunday we watched the first session at the church and then had lunch with the members. The food was so good! It was so much fun to hangout with the members and get to know them even better. After lunch we went to the Rowley's house for the second session of conference. While we were watching, Sister Minson fell asleep for the rest of the session and it was so funny. We also all had dinner together and she always makes the best food. ANYWAYS.... Be grateful for everything, follow the first prompting, pay attention to the little things, pray always, and remember HE loves you and remember to love each other!! 143, SISTER WILSON Pictures https://photos.app.goo.gl/HnGmkCohrviGgg916 Previous Letter Next Letter

1e63bd91-c5d1-4df8-9668-699259c7cdd0 Elder Drake Wakefield Back to Missionary Letters BYE-BYE I n wanting to strengthen my testimony of the doctorine I am learning and teaching, I felt like I need to study the New Testament. I often think what would my beliefs be like without the Book of Mormon. Honestly I don't know if I would have a testimony of Jesus Christ. Now let's flip that around, what would it be like if we didn't have the Bible? Our knowledge would be limited to visions and his account of visiting the Nephites. This is great, but we would miss out on so much without the Bible, especially the accounts and happenings of his final week of mortality. And to become like Jesus I first need to learn about him, so the Bible I shall read. Something cool I'm also excited to do while reading is cross reference verses from the Bible and the Book of Mormon. It has been my experience when the Bible and Book of Mormon are use in unison the spirit is strongly present. So I'm excited, little two for one action while studying😁 Cool miracles are always present each week, a cool one this week was earlier we felt like we needed to text the people who had previously met with the missionaries but had stopped learning. One of those people came to church and we plan on meeting w him again🙏(buat semua missionaries, jangkau kepada semua titik abu²nya) Twas a great week, hope all yall are doing great🫶-Elder Wakefield Elder Sayson went home🥲excited for him but definitely will be missed. He's been w me since my second transfer. Previous Letter Next Letter

  • Elder Dylan Wilson

716062cc-86e5-4706-b80e-6ac388a173f4 Elder Dylan Wilson Back to Missionary Letters This is the End Hey y'all, this week was definitely one for the books! Or the weekly emails I guess you could say. Anyways, I don't have much time because we're going to have a district P-day so I'll cut to the chase! We went to Kansas on Tuesday morning so my companion could go to a doctor's appointment. We only went to Coffeyville which isn't too far from the Oklahoma border, but now I can officially say that I've been to all three states in my mission boundaries. Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas! Later that day we prayed to know where to go for street contacting and we both felt very strongly that we should go to a park that was a little far away. That wouldn't have been a problem any other week, but this week was bike week where we only rode bikes to save miles on our cars. Anyways, we start biking and I saw this 17 year old kid running down the street doing some exercise so we stopped and talked to him and he ended up being interested in learning more! His name is Gavin. When we finished sharing with him, we started heading towards the park again, but got stopped again when we taught and older man named Mike and turned him into a new friend! For the third time, we set out to go to that park we felt prompted to go to, but we stopped and talked to a lady that was sitting on a bench on the trail we were riding. This lady, Jennifer, ended up being interested as well so we set up a return appointment with her! At that point we didn't have any more street contacting time so we didn't even make it to the park, but we wouldn't have found those people if we didn't keep trying to go to the park! On Wednesday we had two lessons, one with our friend Nicki and one with Jordan. They both went pretty well! Thursday was quite the busy day! We had my last district council in the morning and it was a good training, but a sad day. I'm going to miss my district and going to district council! We had a lesson with Gavin later and it went pretty well! Nothing much happened on Friday, just biking in the heat and checking on interested people in our Area Book. Saturday though! Everything happened on that day! We ate breakfast with the Leavitt family then we had six lessons! All on bikes it was quite glorious, we were so busy that day and it literally flew by, we also put our friend Nicki on baptismal date! It was such a miraculous day being on the Lord's errand! Spiritual thought: 2 Nephi 31:20 I've been thinking a lot about my mission experience and it's crazy to think it's been over. I think a good representation of my mission is the experience we had riding to the park. If we had focused solely on making it to the park, we would've missed the people that actually needed a message about Christ. If you're serving a mission and only focusing on making it to the end, then you won't be able to find those that need a message about Christ and you won't be able to change or experience the things you need to. A lot of missionaries say at the end of their missions, "I've truly come to know my Savior." And I was asking myself if I really had come to know Christ better. Then I remembered all the things that have happened and all the changes I've gone through and I can say the same. I've loved my mission and I love you all. In the words of my man Jacob, "Brethren, adieu."❤❤❤ ~Elder Wilson Previous Letter Next Letter

  • Elder Jeremy Perkins

b9b92ee5-b555-4027-8dfe-8b5c92da3d3c Elder Jeremy Perkins Back to Missionary Letters Let's go!! Found out yesterday that I'll be staying another transfer in Tickle Creek with Elder Maxwell! That will mean I will have served 10 ½ months in the Mount Hood Zone! I think it's be really awesome to say that I've served 1 year in Mount Hood. I'm excited to stay because good things are coming! We had to drop Dan and it was pretty hard because he told us he wanted to be a part of our church, but he wasn't willing to do the necessary steps. On the bright side though, we met with a guy that we round over Facebook. So funny story, the Social Media Specialists have really stressed the importance of joining groups, and so I decided to join a dad jokes group, well I sent a dad joke to a bunch of people and got a few responses, one was named Scott. We've been talking for about 2 weeks now and somehow the gospel was brought up. We had a church tour with him the other day and he is now reading the Book of Mormon! Another cool miracle is we took a member to a meeting with our friend Erin! Erin really opened up to her and explained that she doesn't want us to feel bad or that we've failed because she hasn't converted yet. Rather she said she is continuing praying to find out for herself if baptism is right for her. It was an amazing experience. Go feed the horses! I've been reading in Alma lately and I love the part where Ammon, after he defended the flocks, is feeding the horses. He went the extra mile. In Alma 18:8-9 it states "And it came to pass that king Lamoni inquired of his servants, saying: Where is this man that has such great power? And they said unto him: Behold, he is feeding thy horses." So my new saying is "go feed the horses" go the extra mile. You have 10 people on baptismal date, amazing! Go feed the horses! keep going. Keep progressing. I'm grateful for stories and examples like these that build my testimony. I know the Book of Mormon is true, it is tangible evidence of the truth of the Church of Jesus Christ. Anyone can find that out. You just have to open the Book, study, and pray. Love you guys have a blessed week! elderjeremyperkins Previous Letter Next Letter

2cae9283-a4e9-4dc4-aa33-0706d491e49d Elder Braxton Poole Back to Missionary Letters Training is over whats next? (Week 15) WOW, feels like yesterday that our first transfer ended! It's been kinda weird building up to transfers. We went on two exchanges that both were a party! My first was with Elder Davis, as always we had a good time with Spanish. The other was with Elder Dye, he is from Island Park, Idaho! It was so much fun and the area we were in was kinda the boonies compared to Wesley Chapel so it reminded me of home a little. The reason I brought it up was because we met so many just different people there it kinda scared me! We had a lot of good lessons over the week and met a few new friends. I guess we didn't have anything drastic happen. It's been pretty average I guess, but I won't be keeping track of Wesley Chapel anymore! I'm going to Ocala! Ocala is the most northern zone in our mission and I get to be right in the city! My new companion only has one transfer left so that is crazy! Can't wait for the new adventures. Really sad to leave all of the other Elders in Tampa zone but it will be so worth it! I'll try and do better next week with my email! Elder Poole Previous Letter Next Letter
