7e909aca-4cad-483a-a95b-abcec483f52a Sister Kari Wakefield Back to Missionary Letters Mindful of you | Moroni 8:3 Alright amigos!! It is nearly unbelievable that this is my last week as a full time missionary. I have love my time here and am so grateful that I have been so blessed by my loving Heavenly Father to be able to come on my mission. It has warmed my heart and amazed me to see how many tender mercies the Lord has placed in my path as I have been placed exactly where I needed go be. He has been so good to me - as always! When I have had to say my goodbyes to those I love on my mission, I choose to share this scripture: Moroni 8:3, "I am mindful of you always in my prayers, continually praying unto God the Father in the name of his Holy Child, Jesus, that he, through his infinite goodness and grace, will keep you through the endurance of faith on his name to the end." I feel the same for you all. Thank you for all the love and support you have shown me! I hope you have felt my prayers in your behalf over these past months. I know God loves you and Jesus Christ knows you. Keep the faith and endure to the end. I love you all! See you soon! Con mi amor, Hermana Wakefield Previous Letter Next Letter

3ab0eff1-f36b-442d-be73-8228847b7b04 Sister Taylor Allen Back to Missionary Letters general authority wahoo Hello friends and family(: The past couple weeks have been so so good! I am absolutely loving my time here in Horseheads and the missionaries I get to serve around! This has been one of the happiest times on my mission!! We FINALLY found some people to teach and now are super booked with back to back lessons! Sister Roundy and I have seen amazing miracles this transfer and the work is rolling forward nicely 🤩just within the last 14 days we came across 8 new friends that are soaking up the truths of the gospel! It is incredible to see how God puts the people who are prepared into our path!! Also I hit 11 months today which blows my mind like WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE??! Elder Bassett from the Seventy came and did a mission tour this week here! It was a special expirence because the Mission Leadership Council got to have little one on ones with him then all eat lunch together! Not going to lie I was a tad bit intimated but he was the sweetest man! He gave the greatest trainings and shared some solid life advice! He talked to us alot about sacrafice and how it is an opportunity for us to show our gratitude for all that the Savior did! He told us how we all need to lay down the things of the world at the alter and focus our attention on things with eternal significance! I was able to recieve a lot of answers to questions I have had recently as he spoke which was a major blessing. I want you all to know how much I love you! Your Father in Heaven knows you and loves you! Make the relationship you have with Him your number one pursuit and I promise that is when you will have joy beyond compare! No trial or struggle will matter because you will have eyes that see far past this short time in mortality! Have a solid week and please I'm begging each of you to watch some scary movies for me or go to a haunted corn maze!! Then send me pictures so I can cry about how much I miss them 😂 side note: here is my current address for those who asked -> 228 Roosevelt Ave Apt #2 Horseheads, NY 14845 United States Previous Letter Next Letter

4a5ca404-9671-440d-9e41-a9cb2049af81 Sister Talia Hansen Back to Missionary Letters Idaho, Pocatello mission The Idaho, Pocatello mission was not affected very badly by COVID. We definitely had it a lot better than most missions. We were in quarantine for about 2 months and then we were allowed to go out and do service. About a month after that we were allowed to go back into peoples homes! So we were basically back to normal! But while in quarantine we set up zoom lessons and did lots of teaching online as well as Facebook. We made lots of videos and posts for Facebook :). We were even still allowed to hold baptismal services while we were in quarantine so it really did not stop the work! I know that the Lord cares about all of us on this Earth, so much that He was willing to suffer and die for us! I know that He wouldn’t want the missionary work and the teaching of His gospel to stop! I know that the gospel is the truth and that so much light, joy, and happiness comes from it. It’s been a blessing for me to be able to see that light change peoples lives. I know that Jesus Christ is our savior and that we really can do all things through Him because He loves us! This place is incredible and so beautiful. My first area is in Makato which I am so blessed to be in. Its on the opposite side of the island of iloilo and not in the city at all. Its so so green and I love it. The difficult part about this area is they speak the hardest dialect thats on the island so that is lovely. I cant remember what its called actually, I think its like akalan or something like that. The people understand me when I speak hiligaynon but I dont understand them when they talk back to me. But its okay though ill get it eventually. I have the sweetest trainer ever. She matches my energy all the time and we work so good together. Her name is sister largo and shes from the philippines. The people here are all so sweet and they love the missionaries. Theres one girl her name is joyjoy and she was just attached to me yesterday. We have a special handshake, she shared her snacks with me, and everywhere we walked she just held my hand. She loves trying to jump higher than me because to her I am a giant. Thats most peoples first reaction to seeing me is that im just tall especially while Im next to my companion. So far not much has happened. Yesterday was the first day I actually went out and did anything but it went so good. We ride these little tricycles with side carts everywhere which is fun. In my area theres a lot of jungle like places so to get to peoples houses your like walking through a jungle. Its my favorite part though. Anywayyyyy thats my week for ya. Hope everyone is doing so good!! Love you all! Previous Letter Next Letter

3e53b382-5403-4014-a10c-1fb8d201e491 Sister Macie Bowler Back to Missionary Letters Last one Hey everyone today is my last ever email as Sister Bowler!! Actually insane! This week has been full of just saying goodbye to all the members and finishing up last minute things. This week we went back into the negatives. We got to about -30° I guess it's just a good send off from Montana. Oh also this week we went and said goodbye to someone who lives in the heart of uptown Butte. We were walking and on the side of the road was a human crap. It was absolutely disgusting!! Okay lets bring the spirit back lol. I have felt so blessed to have written emails every week and to testify of the Savior. I was thinking a lot this week of what I want to write for my last email. It could go in so many different directions but I wanted to write down my testimony. How amazing is this gospel and our Saviors love. I know and I have personally witnessed how aware he is of each one of us. He wants us all to have joy in this life and become like him. Without trails we wouldn't have been shaped into the person we are today. With the Lord wanting us to be like him that means that sometimes we have to struggle. In that struggle we learn to rely on him. His Atonement is so real and nothing we ever do will be out of reach or too deep were the Savior hasn't already been. He reaches out in love constantly. I know that one of his biggest signs that he loved us is that he restored his gospel through the Prophet Joseph Smith. I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon with Heavenly Father directing him. Never doubt his love for you. Never doubt your faith because it is good enough! I love each of you all and I know that as you let God prevail in your life you will have joy! Can't wait to see some of you soon! Love, Sister Bowler Previous Letter Next Letter

1116494e-c219-4e20-aa17-10042cbd57f8 Elder Christian Martinez Back to Missionary Letters The Journey Home Hey y'all, I'll make this quick Due to the COVID-19 virus, and having asthma, my service in the Pennsylvania Philadelphia Mission will be stopped, and I was informed I probably wont be able to come back out, due to the amount of missionaries coming into the United States. I return home tomorrow morning. The experiences I have had while out here will stay with me the rest of my life. I've learned so much about me, others, and especially about the gospel of Jesus Christ and how much God loves us. I have loved every single thing about being a missionary and serving the Lord Jesus Christ. I love Him, and what he did for me, and all of Gods children. He walked such a long, lonely path, so we wouldn't have to. May we always remember our Savior, and what He did for us. This is His church. God lives, Jesus is the Christ, never ever forget God's love for you, it will never go away. I love you all! Elder Martinez Previous Letter Next Letter

94e8cee7-2777-4434-a403-20ad1d07196c Sister Kennedi Ludvigson Back to Missionary Letters Ang Katapusan awkward Well. This is my last email heading your way and to be honest I really don't want to write it because that means it's time for me to go back to America. I can't express enough of my gratitude that The Lord called me to serve a mission here in Cebu East Philippines. That He has allowed me to experience so many miracles and sacred moments. I love this work with all my heart and it wish I could be an elder so I could serve two years. I love the people and this gospel. To be honest I don't really miss my family (sorry mom.) But, I really have caught the spirit of missionary work and I don't want that to change even if I won't be wearing a name tag anymore. I am grateful that I have learned how to study, how to pray, how to hear the spirit, how to love, how to be obedient and in the process I have become a little more Christlike. That pure religion is following the first and second great commandments. This week I have been trying not to let myself think about what lays ahead because it scares me. I keep questioning myself if I have really gave the Lord my whole heart, might, mind and strength. This week I have truly come to understand the Lord's grace. I have made a lot of mistakes on my mission, but I gave it my best and I have faith that the Lord will make up for my weaknesses. Now I am just going to try not to cry everyday this week. THIS GOSPEL IS SO TRUE! OUR SAVIOR LIVES. HEAVENLY FATHER KNOWS US AND LOVES US. WE HAVE BEEN SENT TO EARTH AT THIS TIME TO HELP PREPARE THE WORLD FOR THE SECOND COMING OF OUR LORD. I LOVE THE PHILIPPINES! Signing out for the last time, Sister Ludvigson *My homecoming is March 22 at 8 am in Mesquite. All of my people are welcome. See ya'll next Wednesday! tatay Pedro. who is very proud to own 4 bibles and now 1 "mormon bible" Previous Letter Next Letter

The comp is good and we're working hard and getting a lot of work done and it's been honestly just a grind! We're teaching a lot of people. I'd say the biggest miracle we've seen so far is a lady named Caitlin, she was a referall and immediately accepted the Gospel and came to church last week! Let's get into it starting with transfer news! I'm still in Playford but Elder Wilson went to Wyalla. My new comp is Elder Clayton and I'll be training him for his second transfer! Super excited and even though it's only been two days, I can tell that this transfer if going to be a good one! Also, for those who know him, ELDER PERRY IS MY DL. LETS GOOOOOOO Google Photos: https://photos.app.goo.gl/SPHBKzMm2s5zEyUQ8 Email: caiden.jones@missionary.org Mission Address Letters (in Mission) PO Box 97 Marden SA 5070 Australia Packages (in Mission) 11 Sommers Avenue Firle SA 5070 Australia ————————————————————————— Animal(s) of the week: - Brax. He's the dog from before, but he's so funny - Buddy the Bird. One of our friends has a bird named buddy and he's pretty chill. Didn't land on me but he did land on Elder Hunt ————————————————————————— Highlight Reel: - WE PUT OUR FRIEND DAVID ON DATE!! He's working towards being baptized on March 16th! Prayers up for David - We had some pretty fire lessons this week with a lot of people. Playford is such a great area with tons of potential - Had a doctors appointment where I was waiting for an hour to go in (partially my fault) which kinda tucked - Transfer News! I always love hearing the changes in the mission. Some areas have electric scooters now and I hope I get to be in one before I go home - Exchanges with Elder Hunt. This guy is gonna be an AP one day. No doubt. - Elder Clayton is a beast. The greenie spirit is real and strong. So hyped ————————————————————————— Experience of the week! We put our friend on date! David is awesome and we're super excited to help him work towards baptism. The experience putting him on date though was kind of crazy. To make a long story short, it was very Spirit led. There were many times where God's will was shown and we trusted in Him. It was a powerful experience for me because it reminded me how important it is to use every second that you've got, serving with all of your heart, might, mind, and strength. The Lord leads us and if we listen to the Spirit we can have our will in harmony with God's. This week I would like to invite all of you to be very mindful of the Spirit and act upon the promotings you receive. Pray for guidance and to know God's will, and look for opportunities to serve. Try focusing on how the Spirit speaks to you. Read materials that increase your knowledge and understanding of the Spirit. Most importantly, put your trust in God. He has a perfect plan for you and although we might not know the reason for everything, our Father in Heaven has a much greater perspective. All of you, and those around you, will be blessed and strengthened as you follow the promptings of the Holy Ghost. I love you all and 'till next time! - Elder Jones Previous Letter Next Letter
- Elder Stetson Ludvigson
e8475029-129a-46ed-82dd-19a704b468e4 Elder Stetson Ludvigson Back to Missionary Letters So this week was pretty insane! A lot of stuff happened, so we had transfers this week which is always a party, me and Elder Miles are staying together in Garland which I am pumped about because there is a lot of people here searching for the gospel! So after Tranfers we went and had a few lessons, one with Debra and Richard who are just the best, they are on date for November, and Debra has such a strong testimony it astounds me because she has had a tough life! But after our lessons it was towards the end of the night and we get a call from one of the Elders in our district, and we answer and see that he is in a hospital gound and at the hospital, So Elder Coons said that he has choked on some pulled pork so his companion had to do the heimlich, and after he got it all out he said he would still feel something in his throat, he went to the ER where they did an X-Ray and saw a big piece of bone stuck in his throat, so they had to ship him to a hospital in plano to have surgery on his throat. We had to go and pick up his companion while he went to plano in an ambulance! So that was pretty wild! But everything was fine and we got everything settled that next morning. We also went and visited Claudia and her family who are just the best! We are always leaving there laughing! She is an inspiration, she has beat cancer twice and has a son who I'd disabled and has around 10 seizures a day, and has completely changed her life around when she found the restored gosepl of Jesus Christ! So this Saturday come rolling around and we are heading to a lesson and as we were walking through the complex we saw Nelson, who is a recent convert that we haven't been able to get in contact with, and so we stop and talk with him for a little and share a spiritual message and got him another Book of Mormon, then we just headed to our lesson just a few apartments down from his. As we were teaching this lady, Shannon, the restoration a bunch of cops just start rolling up. And we are trying to figure out what was going on, and we see all these cops start running straight to Nelson's apartment, and so we kinda pause from our lesson to see what is going on. And we look over and see Nelson the recent convert guy we just taught getting pulled out of his apartment by the cops, and then taken to jail so that was pretty wild, haha. I guess that's what happens when you aren't following the commandments! But anyway our lesson with Shannon went amazing! She is the greatest and we are super pumped for her! On Sunday night we had a lesson with Keith, who has had a hard life and has really struggled lately to feel Gods love, but we had a super good visit and towards the end of our visit we asked keith if we could give him a priesthood blessing! And he said you can but to it according to your faith because I dont know if I have any anymore. And all through the lesson I had to use the restroom super badly but figured I would just hold it, specially since he lives in a trailer. But as we stand up to give him a blessing I knew I had to go before the blessing or else it would distract from the spirit haha so in Elder Miles words "it looked like you were about to say something so inspired it was gonna blow his socks off." But I stand up and say "keith... can I use your restroom man." Haha it was pretty funny, but after we gave him a blessing and the spirit was insanely strong it was pretty epic! I definitely knew at that moment that God loved Keith no matter what he had been trhough. Later on in the week we had MLC which is always a great time to see the other missionaries and to receive revelation, one thing that was really amazing that we talked about was a scripture, 3 Nephi 27: 2, and in this scripture Christ says "What will ye that I shall give unto you?" we talked about what you would say in response to this question, what would you ask for from Christ? Maybe perhaps a better family life or more faith whatever it is. Then our President shared James 1:5-6 "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering." And so whatever you would ask Christ if you were there while he asked the Nephites this question, go and ask him! And I loved that thought, so that's my challenge for y'all! 90646e3f-c72c-4945-b2d3-c7f08daa26a0 Elder Maurice Jayden Perkins Back to Missionary Letters Batismo de Dionel This week was a good one. There were some great things that happened this week! Tuesday was the Independence Day of Moçambique and that was pretty cool. One of the members in our area is the Young Women's Presidente and so she asked us to invite some of the people that we are teaching, to an activity they were having. We brought one of the young women from a family we are teaching and she loved it! After that we walked with another member and it was great. We are teaching some of his friends now and they came to church this week! After that on Wednesday we taught a lot of people and that was really good, and on Thursday we went and visited the Americans again. This time one of the couples that wasn't there the last time was there and we talked and visited with them. They asked us some questions about things and it went really well. At the end we gave them pamphlets and ended with a prayer. It was really cool. On Friday we visited a man who just wanted to talk in English with us. He speaks pretty good and it was cool because he served a mission for his church as well but he understood the message really good. We also had the Baptismal Interview for Dionel! So Dionel is a 10 year old who's family has been coming to church for the past two years or so and they just haven't been married yet. However their son Dionel wanted to be baptized and they wanted him to be baptized as well. So we taught him. Here's the thing though,he does not speak Portuguese. He only speaks Macuewa, the local dialect, and so we needed a translator. We taught him everything through his dad and that was pretty cool. When it came time to do the interview, the Branch President did it because he speaks Macuewa. The baptism was awesome and he chose me to baptize him. It was special being able to baptize him. How amazing is it that the Gospel of Jesus Christ will always find a way to bless other people. Even though there was a language barrier the Gospel of Jesus Christ was able to break through and bless his life. It is a testimony to me as I remember the promise in the scriptures, "28 And now I say unto you that the time shall come that the salvation of the Lord shall be declared to every nation, kindred, tongue, and people."- Mosiah 15:28 I am excited for his mom and dad to be baptized as well here in the new future and I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ. This wonderful work will go on no matter what! I am so grateful to be a part of it and for all the blessings that the Lord gives to me. Entao até próxima semana. Obrigado aos todos! Tchau tchau! 19481068-1470-4fde-9b32-aea9d1c0c74f Elder Andrew Maxfield Back to Missionary Letters Rockwood For Life Photos of moi and my mission! https://photos.app.goo.gl/6eFoMLcxApcTof8c7 I preface this email by saying hello how do you do? In a British accent of course! How are yall?! Another week flew by but this time it's with somebody else but not in a new place! We had transfers this week and I'm with a new companion Elder Porter! I'm excited to get to work with him. Anyways, here's my week😊 - For our last P Day we did... almost nothing. BUT! We did go to Top Golf to keep the tradition alive😅 it was a lot of fun to swing again, even if I've only slightly improved at it😵💫 - We had a busy Wednesday with Transfer Calls that night but we had District Council akd I was able to give a training on the Sacrament(spiritual thought later). We were all stressing about who was leaving when our DL got a call saying he was going to be a ZL! So that was one gone. Then at transfer calls we heard that Sister Wall was leaving after only one too! So now it was just me, Elder Phillips, and Sister Jepson that were staying. We all got new comps and this transfer is going to be epic! My new companion is Elder Brock Porter and he's been out for about a year and a half. I'm so excited to be with another older missionary, it makes me feel more confident😂 - We ate at a bakery, played games, packed, and said goodbye to some people here in our area for Elder Barlow, a final checklist of things to do while he was here. It was a good last day I'm glad we could spend it with Harry as well😌 - We pulled up to transfers which I haven't been to in 3 months and I got to see everyone again! That is always my favorite😂 I didn't get to see Barbs and Olson which is lame but I did get to see all my old and new friends. I said goodbyes to Elder Barlow and we were off. I'm grateful to have served with Elder Barlow even if it was some of the hardest months of my life. He taught me a lot and I hope he does awesome in North Carolina🫡 - The last couple days just included me trying to show Elder Porter what I could from the area and introduce him to everyone so hopefully we can start making some plans of where to go and what to do! Everyone pray for us pretty please😅😁 For my spiritual thought I'd like to share just how important the Sacrament is to me and how it can hopefully be important to you. The Sacrament is more than just bread and water on a Sunday. It is an ordinance commanded by God that we partake! The reason He so badly wants us to take it, is that it represents and symbolizes the blood and body of His Son Jesus Christ. It's one way we communicate with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ that we want to repent and change. When we are baptized we are like an old rusty piece of metal. If you clean that metal off and make it like new and shiny, that's like our baptisms. But we aren't able to be baptized twice! So our Father in Heaven makes it possible for us to renew that Covenant. The piece of metal might start to get dirty and old again but we can keep cleaning it off more frequently to make it more clean more often! I am so grateful for the Sacrament because I know it is what made the best examples in my life light up, what made them better than they would have been on their own. I hope you all will think more of the consistent help the Sacrament can bring you if you will partake in its goodness! I love yall, I hope everyone has a great week. Don't forget to email me and send me photos of any fun things that have happened. Congrats to everyone graduating this week! That's so exciting😊 - Elder Maxfield 207 South Church Avenue Rockwood, TN 37854 Previous Letter Next Letter
